A Thomasian Heart

UST Growling Tigers may not be the best team this UAAP Season 79 and I am not that confident that they’ll have a finals appearance again. We lost some key players in the name of Kevin Ferrer, Ed Daquioag and Karim Abdul. That’s my same feeling and thought from the past seasons but what happened is that they always have finals appearance and always ends up a little short for the title. I don’t want to push down the team but that’s the reality. Even though they always end up as runner ups, I am still proud to be a Thomasian and will always be faithful to UST.

PPP: Pride, Puso, Palaban, the three words that sums up who the Thomasian athletes are. The athletes have these in their hearts and minds when playing for the University, for the team and for the Lord. They are selfless and willing to do everything in every game. It hurts to see them being defeated by other teams but a Thomasian heart will never surrender in any battle. I believe that on the next games of the Tigers they will allow the 3 P’s to surface and to radiate in the court. They may not be as tall as the other players from the other Universities but one thing is for sure, no height can defeat a Thomasian heart. The whole Thomasian community will never get tired to cheer, support & pray for the team because at UST we are one.

“Go USTe!” will be louder and will boost the confidence of the players because they know they have a very huge support system. As I write this article I know that Louie Vigil & Kent Lao will lead the team and will conquer all their battles with victory up to the UAAP Championship Crown for MBT Season 79. If it is the will of the Lord, it will happen.

Snoe in the Philippines

Yes, there’s Snoe in the Philippines that will capture the hearts of many. I first bought from Snoe a Anything Under the Sun Sunblock and the Awesome Poresome Facial Scrub, I am really satisfied with the results of the two products so I decided to purchase again at Snoe. I  was looking for a product to help me clean my face and lighten my pimple marks, then I found Wash Away Those Zits Deep Cleansing Acne Wash (Php 349 – 100 ml). After a week of use I really saw that the marks are lighter and it is really mild on the face. Its main ingredient is Purefix DC that helps lighten the skin. It also contains Vitamin C and Honey, aside from what we take in our mouth this facial wash also gives our skin the enough nutrients and care it needs daily.

Another product that I bought was the Scrumptious Body Spritz – Candy Sprinkles (Php 399 – 120 ml), it really smells sweet and lasts for hours on the skin. The smell is similar to may favorite scent from BBW- Sweet Pea. It contains Aloe Leaf Juice that has vitamins in it, Vitamin. C and E. It also contains Hydrogenated Castor Oil that makes it last longer on the skin. From my exprience, it lasts for about six hours before you need to spritz again to your skin. I am really loving the scent as my everyday sweet smell at work and to my special moments with family and friends.

I am really loving Snoe for it is made here in the Philippines.

The best person in my life

My Mama is the person whom I really owe everything in this world. I salute her for carrying me in her womb for nine months, for taking good care of me from day one and now that I am twenty five years old, for sending me to good schools from pre-school to college and for loving me and my siblings unconditionally. Thousands of thank you aren’t enough for all the things that she taught and have done to me. It is very common to say that we love our mothers and we will be like them when it is our turn but one thing I am really sure of, being a mother is one of the greatest jobs here in this world.

To all the mothers and expectant mothers out there, Happy happy mother’s day & may God bless continue to bless all of you! 😊

Genki Sushi-BGC Stopover

I am really fond of trying new places to eat and to have fun with family and friends. This one caught my attention since the concept is enticing and it will give you the authentic Japanese resto feel. It is a fine afternoon and there are plenty of tables occupied and luckily there are few left that’s why we didn’t wait that long to be seated.

The servers are accommodating enough to teach us how we can order our food. There are tablets that can be found per table. To order: you just need to choose from the choices on the tablet, you’ll see on the bullet train below your orders and you need to confirm first before it will be made at the kitchen. Just a reminder, once order was confirmed by the guest/s no cancellations can be made anymore. Average waiting time for orders is two to five minutes. While waiting for your orders, they do have tea powder in every table and a hot water dispenser as well. My mom loved their tea! 🙂

For my most favorite part, the orders are being delivered to tables through a Japanese bullet train-inspired conveyor belt. Aside from the concept the meals are also good tasting. I can really recommend this place for a fun dining experience that can tickle your taste buds as well. The budget for a family of four like mine is Php 1,000.00 for a light eating. If you are really craving that much and I am sure that you’ll love their food offerings, I think Php 2,000.00 would be enough since orders are ranging from Php 60 to Php 500.

Share to me you experience of Genki Sushi. 🙂

Pearl Farm Beach Resort

It is always good to spend your earnings in a vacation trip that will give you the relaxation that you deserve. The moment that we arrived at the wharf to the resort I really felt the hospitality of the personnel of Pearl Farm Beach Resort. Aside from the interior design, facilities and meals, I also give so much value on how the personnel treat the guests. At PFBC, my family’s experience was very good because all that I am looking for were there. From the beautiful facilities, sumptuous dishes, sophisticated furniture and interior design and well-mannered personnel–Our stay was really a good one even it is just for one night. I think the photos are enough to share my family’s wonderful experience. 🙂

Make it Blissful x CBTL PH

To all the ladies out there including me who became part of the Journal Workshop with Ms. Martine De Luna sponsored by CBTL Philippines, We’re all very lucky that we were able to attend that one of a kind event. I can’t express very much in words the joy that I have that sunny morning of September 19, 2015. I was very thankful for three reasons: first, I was chosen by CBTL to be part of that event. Second, the resource person is Ms. Martine De Luna (I admire her very much because of her creativity) and third, to meet other ladies who have the same interest as mine (arts, crafts and memories/keepsakes).

At first, I am not sure if my entry will be chosen by CBTL/Brew Philippines because there are lots of more artistic and creative people than me. When I reflected the night when I submitted my entry, I realized that what I have shared is my journey and that means so much to me because it is my personal experience that can inspire and influence other people. I wrote the article with my whole heart and mind on it. I removed first the reason for having that article which is to win a slot/exclusive invite and just focus on my vision of my journey. Things went well for me because Ms. Nella of CBTL PH sent me an email that I was able to get a slot for the Journal Workshop with Ms. Martine De Luna. It really made my day, I have work on a Saturday but I quickly seek for the permission of my boss to do an off-set to attend the event, thanks to my boss for allowing me).

The off-set was all worth it because I really learned a lot from Ms. Martine and I met wonderful ladies who are inspiring and outgoing. Special thanks to Ms. Nella, Ms. Martine and to all the ladies who graced the event. It is really a blessing to be invited and to gain an experience that I can share to my friends and family.

I am looking forward to attend more events like this. Again, thank you Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Philippines! I am so excited to collect stamps for the 2016 CBTL Journal and use it to write down blissful moments that I will have. 🙂

Chef Heny Sison’s Cakes (They’re so delicious, it may be pricey but its all worth it.)

I’ve visited Ilocos once and I loved their dishes that makes me think to plan a 2nd visit to tour around and eat more native delicacies. One day, when I was browsing over the internet for new places to eat with my family I found a restaurant at Quezon City that offers authentic Filipino & Ilocano dishes. The restaurant is perfect for families and group of friends who wants to have a quality time over good food. The meals may be a bit pricey for some but you’re getting your money’s worth because all that we’ve ordered really tastes good, from the rice up to the cakes.

The only thing that I didn’t like is their slow service because we’ve waited for more than 30 minutes for our foods to be served complete. One consideration that I’ve thought of is that the restaurant is full at that time because it is dinner time.

Overall, I enjoyed our dining experience at Victorino’s because I am with my family and best friend at that time, the ambiance really feels like home and the delicious dishes that they’ve served.
